Judo Teen National Championship Circuit 1 2009.
Friday, 13th March-
There we were at MSN waiting for the bus to go to our destination: Lumut, Perak. Can't belive the tournament is so near, that i could actually taste it. Cold, hard, scary for begginers. And me, my dear friends, am a begginer. This was my second comp and i actually feel a little funny about it. Then there was the bus, "Majlis Sukan Negeri Penang.". Here we go again going all panicky about the fact that the six of us and 14 more Jit Sins are representing the state. A mixture or nervousness and excitedness were stirring in my mind just by looking at the bus. Sensei Nashriq and Sensei Justin came to wished us goodluck, turns out they're not coming with us. Sensei Justin broke his right leg and Nashriq has a competition in Penang to judge. So the six of us- Mei Huey, Ashley, Rose, Farah, Noris and me- went on the bus and left MSN. We stopped by at Jit Sin High and left Penang. The 4 hour ride was tiring, but worth it for the next day awaiting us.
We reached Lumut, and passed each hotel. Hoping the luxurious ones would be our stay. But we stopped at Lumut Villa Inn, wasn't bad. At least not full of trash or 'sarang-hooker'-ish looking. Not as Luxurious as the one loacted beside it, but it'll do. We checked in and go our keys. I had stayed in a room with Noris, Rose, and Farah of course, so Ashley passed us our keys and we ran like chickens to our room, number 703. The Room was okay, the toilet ws clean, the bed was fluffy. We unloaded our things and went for dinner after that. Met Esther, she was from Johor and we totally have no idea wtf is she representing Penang, oh well. She's superb and friendly, not like some chinese in my school, hey not being a racist here okay.
Saturday, 14th March-
My alarm went off and i turn if off. Like i said, the four hours ride yesterday was veryvery tiring. I wanted sleep, for god's sake it was 5 o'clock. I dosed off, but i heard Rose woke up. "IZATI, takmau mandi ka?" oh fck, yes i do. That's when i really did woke up, thank god Rose remembered that i said i wanted to be the second one to take shower. The room was still dark, Noris was sleeping and Farah was sitting on the bed. I took shower and then Noris and Farah took theirs. Ashley came up to our room and told us to wear our white t's and judo pants. So we did and left the hotel at 6. We went there by a TLDM bus, the bus itself was scary. There's a "KAAAAPRANNGGG" sound when the door opens up, which is very unecessary. Sitting on the bus makes me feel like were on the way to a war. Reached TLDM, and they had to weigh us for the comp. I was okay, not over weight for my category. Mei Huey was under weight. So we fed her IKO crackers and made her drink so much water that she actually look like she's going to puke any second. Here Meimei, i want to say im sorry for stuffing all those food, haha. She was still underweight but she got in though. After that we stopped at some Nasi Kandar res, and had our breakfast there. After that we went back to TLDM and the court was full! SSBP, Melaka Tengah, Melaka, Perak, And Johor. And our tournament dragged the day on. Finished at 4 because we had a very unescessary break from 12-2.30pm, most of us slept, i couldn't though. So we spent our time talking and practicing. After getting our medals and all we had to say out goodbyes to Esther.
Sunday, 15th March-
Two messages woke me up. Annoying i tell you. Papie had topup for me, weee! And another on was from Rahimi. Sheesh. Woke up early just so we can get breakfast. Waited down stairs with some other Jit Sins, and Mahen asked the 5 of us, "You guys want to follow us to is it?" and i was like, "i just want to eat." and i can't remember who said to Mahen the same time as i did, "They just want breakfast." HAHAHAHA, so true. So went there again, and seniors had to step up on the weighing scale. Again, left for nasi kandar at 8 and went back to The villa for a while to check out and then back to TLDM, took some pictures before checking out and all, going to miss this lame place, filled with memories wey kacau org in bahasa kelantan and all, fucken lawak. So anyways, where was i before i so rudely interrupted myself? oh yes, Back to TLDM, wacthed the seniors played, they were awesome. They got themselves injuries but still, they fought for gold. Tournament ended earlier than saturdays. Left Perak back to Peanang, slept on the bus, dropped Jit Sins off, yadayadaydaya. PICTURES ALREADY! HAHA
